Since 2015, Marie Maillard has been infiltrating artistic and heritage institutions with augmented reality interventions, entirely independent of any commission. Like Clément Rosset's "The Real and Its Double," these interventions reveal the element of fiction and phantasmagoria that stands between us and the world. Each activation is anchored in the pattern of the floor, a generative matrix from which the digital sculpture is revealed. The artwork exists only in the experience of viewing, establishing a relationship of co-perception between the place, the form, and the spectator—a relationship that does not impose itself but silently reconfigures our memory.

Depuis 2015, Marie Maillard infiltre des institutions artistiques et patrimoniales par des interventions en réalité augmentée, hors de toute commande. À la manière du Réel et son double de Clément Rosset, elles révèlent la part de fiction et de fantasmagorie qui s’interpose entre nous et le monde. Chaque activation s’ancre dans le motif du sol, matrice générative à partir de laquelle la sculpture numérique est révélée. L’œuvre n’existe que dans l’expérience du regard, engageant une relation de co-perception entre le lieu, la forme et le spectateur, qui ne s’impose pas mais en reconfigure silencieusement la mémoire.
